YOUTH OF SYDNEY!!! Are you ready for a fun filled day with crazy games, LIVE music, heaps of food and hanging out with your mates?!? Then RICEfest 2008 is for you!! This year we are changing things around with a twist with our 1st ever big & exciting youth festival!!! This is a festival that aims to proclaim Jesus to the youth of Sydney and is JAM PACKED with more games, more food stores, 2 live bands, street theatre, elegant cafés and most importantly for your friends to hear about a guy called Jesus. This year, RICE also offers the chance for YOU to be INVOLVED in RICEfest 2008. Stay tuned to this site for more details! Eugene Hor
Eugene is married to Pauline. They have a 6 year old son Joshua and a 4 year old daughter Ashleigh. Euge has been minister of the English congregation at the Burwood Chinese Presbyterian Church since 1999. As a pastor he is passionate about helping people discover God's purpose for them in life. As a leader he is passionate about developing new ministries and leaders who see beyond the four walls of the church. As a husband/dad he enjoys having a relaxing night with Pauline, playing with Joshua's lego and ninja turtles and taking Ashleigh shopping. In his free time, Euge enjoys archery, seafood, yum cha, Illy coffee, cooking and catching up with friends.
Sam Low
Sam is married to Sally and this year they have both started studying full time at Moore Theological College. For the last 6 years Sam was the Youth Pastor at St Paul's Castle Hill where he got to speak in schools, train youth leaders and most importantly tell people about Jesus! his favourite thing to do in the whole world is teach the bible and he cant wait to be a part of RICE!
Steve Chong
Since February this year, Steve has been the Pastor of Kogarah Presbyterian Church in Sydney's south - an exciting area with many opportunities to spread of the gospel of our Lord Jesus. And if starting up a new church venture wasn't crazy enough, February saw Steve and his wife Naomi welcome the birth of Baby Chong, aka Reuben - a beautiful baby boy! Together, the Chongs share a heart and passion for evangelism, making known God's desire in seeking a relationship with His creation.
Steve is the director of RICE Australia and is the person who thinks big and dreams of what RICE can do in the future to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to the youth of Sydney and beyond. His vision this year has expanded to include the networking, training and encouragement of youth leaders, both new and old, throughout Sydney and the commencement of RICE in Brisbane.
He loves his Thai food (but not as much as his wife's home-cooking) and days where he can just hang out and spend time with his wife and son. With an open and out going personality he has been known to have total strangers approach him and start conversations with him on the streets, in cafes and on aeroplanes! He believes God is doing a special thing through the ministry of RICE and he can't wait to see what God has in store in the years to come!

Here it is Sydney! I know you've been waiting for it! It's the Saturday night you don't wanna miss! Last year, Sydney Convention Centre was packed out. And now RICErally 2008 is moving to a NEW & BIGGER location! Plus, we've got an amazing & powerful evangelist (who we're getting from overseas) to come & speak to the youth of Sydney on this night! You gotta stay tuned for this one Sydney!
This is a night when thousands of youth from all around Sydney will stream to one place for an amazing night of music, great dramas, games, singing and most importantly a clear Christ-focused talk about the man who changed history's course, Jesus! Tough questions will be asked. Tougher answers will be given and it could be the night your world will be changed forever!
